YOUR CHURCH considers the appearance of its staff to be of the utmost importance. As a member of YOUR CHURCH’S staff an individual should be mindful of the demographic the church is trying to reach and dress accordingly. It is not the desire of YOUR CHURCH to specifically outline a “dress code” or any other such policy. Instead, it is the responsibility of all ministry area leaders to dress appropriately and to ensure staff under their supervision does the same.
In some cases, such as YOUR CHURCH staff being routinely asked to speak or otherwise participate in the service from the main stage, a staff member may be asked to dress in specific attire. For example, stage communicators during weekend services should never wear blue jeans.
If a staff member’s appearance is deemed inappropriate they will be asked to correct the situation in the future. Gross inappropriateness may result in the staff member being asked to return home to change. Questions about this policy should be directed to the staff member’s ministry area leader or the Executive Pastor.
