Overtime Pay

Another section of the Staff Policy Manual

April 8, 2015

The Executive Pastor Is An HR ManagerAll nonexempt staff members working more than 40 hours in any single work week will receive overtime pay at the rate of 1.5 times their normal hourly rate for every hour over 40. Overtime pay is based on the actual hours worked. Therefore, time off for sick leave, vacation, and other paid or unpaid leaves of absence is not counted as hours worked when calculating overtime pay.

In all cases, working overtime requires approval of a staff member’s ministry area leader in advance. Overtime worked that has not been approved in advance may not be paid to the staff member.
