Russ,

Good question. I wish I could just point you to a book, seminar, or something. To my knowledge, there's no such thing.

I would suggest the following posts on my blog as a good starting point, though:

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/the-performance-cycle-a-leadership-model/

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/the-management-system-form-fit-and-function/

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/management-system-document-hierarchy/

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/infrastructure-development-a-simple-example/

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/strategic-planning-step-by-step/

http://www.executivepastoronline.com/dashboard-measuring-results/

It's really about understanding the importance as a leader. It doesn't matter if you are wired that way or not. It matters that you recognize the importance of a strong foundation on which to build the church. If you do, you will make it a priority to create a culture that understands the importance. Make sense?

From there, you can find the people that are attending your church who understand how to do this kind of stuff. Make it a priority, find the people, and get it done!

I hope that helps.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

Kevin, I ran across your site and am so glad I did! My wife and I are campus pastors of a college ministry that we founded in NM. Since we are still in the first few years of it, we both work full time jobs to support what we are doing. I recognize the need for infrastructure and administration and I admit that I am not good at it! However, I want to put infrastructure in place for future growth and better administration, I.e accounting, filing, processes. We don't have the funding to pay someone for this as of yet. What suggestions or resources would you be able to lend in this situation?
